Velma suggests doing a project about God Izac - an ancient god who ruled the world, but the people suffered due to his tyranity and the god has been turned into a stone. The gang reads on a paper that a statue of the god will be the town's new nomument. The gang sees the statue when it's unveiled. However, the statue's eyes begin to glow and the statue starts walking. While Scooby and Shaggy freak out, Fred, Velma and Daphne are confused because the statues's eyes can't glow and they can't move. Everyone runs away. The statue then walks around the town, destroying everything in its path. The gang meets a researcher, Dr. Jennings. Dr. Jennings tells the gang a part of the god's legend that has never been discovered: When the statue is disturbed, it will come to life and destroy everything. The statue also has hypnotic powers that can hypnotize anyone and make him or her its slave. The statue then arrives. Scooby and Shaggy run away. The statue chases them. Fred, Velma, Daphne and Dr. Jennings go after them. Daphne trips and falls into the statue's foot. The statue captures Daphne and hypnotizes her. The statue and the hypnotized Daphne chase Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Velma and Dr. Jennings. After finding a place to hide, Dr. Jennings tells the gang how the villagers turned the god into a stone: They used a magical scepter that can turn anything into a stone. Dr. Jennings tells the gang that the scepter is in the museum. Fred gets an idea to catch the statue: They can bring the statue to the monument and use the scepter to turn it back into the stone. Scooby and Shaggy are voted as a bait. The statue and Daphne find Scooby and Shaggy and chase them to the monument. Fred, Velma and Dr. Jennings take the scepter and try to use it on the statue, but the statue finds out and tries to stop them. Dr. Jennings drops the scepter and it lands in Scooby and Shaggy's hands. The statue and Daphne get close to Scooby and Shaggy. Out of fear, Scooby and Shaggy accidentally use the scepter on the statue and it turns back into the stone, and Daphne gets back to normal. Dr. Jennings thanks the gang for their help and the gang now knows everything about the god to use on their project... which they have to present in 10 minutes!
