The wind howled while rain poured down on Shaggy Rogers house. He and his best friend Scooby-Doo were sitting on the couch in the living room watching a show. The other members of Mystery Inc. we're at their own homes. The gang hadn't gotten any mystery calls lately, so they mostly hung out in their own homes until they got notice of a mystery. Besides, driving the Mystery Machine around constantly used up gas.
" I'm so happy that we can just hang out and enjoy ourselves. Am I right buddy?" Shaggy said as he turned to Scooby.
"Reah!" Scooby replied with a smile. Suddenly, the two heard thunder and jumped.
"Yikes!" Shaggy cried out as he and Scooby hugged for protection. Then they heard noises coming from upstairs. Suddenly, a thought came to Shaggy.
"Hey Scooby, you don't think there's ghosts in the house, do you?" Shaggy asked nervously.
"Rhosts?" Scooby said, as he too got nervous. The two best friends were shaking with fear, not knowing if there was a ghost in the house or not.
"Ma-ma-ma-ma-maybe you should go check it out, Scooby!" Shaggy suggested.
"Me?" Scooby Doo responded in apprehension. Shaggy nodded.
"Rokay," Scooby said before he separated from the hug and nervously walked upstairs. Shaggy watched his friend go up the stairs until Scooby was gone, and then turned back to the TV.
"There's no such things as ghosts.... There's no such things as ghosts..." Scooby said to himself as he walked around upstairs, checking out the rooms. There was nothing in the bathrooms, or any of the other rooms. The only rooms left were the bedrooms.
"There's no such thing as ghosts. There's no such thing as ghosts," Scooby told himself as he nervously walked towards Shaggy's bedroom.
