Treasure Hunt Terror is the eighth episode of the first season of Scooby-Doo! Terror Tales.
Premise[]
The gang goes on a treasure hunt in Tartyiville (Tart-Ye-I-Ville). But the ghost of Blackbeard returns to claim his gold.
Synopsis[]
The gang arrives at Tartyiville (Tart-Ye-I-Ville). The cloaked figure from Night of the Micemen appears. He vanishes. They are going on a treasure hunt. A man named Treasure Brak greets the gang. He gives them each a map. The gang splits up. Scooby and Shaggy are looking around. They meet a woman named Mrs. Blaze. Mrs. Blaze tells them where she thinks the treasure is. Scooby and Shaggy dash off in that direction. They soon find themselves lost. Shaggy sees the treasure chest! A pirate ghost appears in front of it. He is Blackbeard's ghost! Blackbeard warns Scooby and Shaggy to leave.
Meanwhile, Fred, Daphne, and Velma are searching for clues. They meet a nice man named Maxwell. He warns them about Blackbeard. Maxwell walks off. Fred, Daphne, and Velma walk off. They see a ghost pirate ship floating across the lake. It vanishes.
Meanwhile, Scooby and Shaggy are hiding from Blackbeard. Blackbeard’s evil laughter echoes across the town. Suddenly, Blackbeard appears. He chases Scooby and Shaggy away. After escaping, Scooby and Shaggy hide in a tree house.
In another part of the town, Daphne, Fred, and Velma are searching for the treasure. Blackbeard appears. He laughs evilly. Blackbeard chases Fred, Daphne, and Velma around the town. After escaping Blackbeard, Velma finds something. She puts it in her pocket. Fred looks at Velma.
In the forest, Scooby and Shaggy are hiding from Blackbeard. They come out of their hiding spot to find Fred, Daphne, and Velma. Blackbeard appears and the chase scene starts. Scooby and Shaggy are running from Blackbeard in the forest. They dress like demons and scare him away. Fred is running from Blackbeard. He hides. Daphne and Velma are running from Blackbeard on the ghost ship. They dress like his crew, escaping him. Scooby and Shaggy are running from Blackbeard. They escape him, ending the chase scene.
The gang meets up with each other. Velma picks up something and pockets it. She says she’s solved the mystery. Fred says it’s time to set a trap. Scooby gulps.
Scooby will be the bait. He will hold a fake treasure chest. When Blackbeard attacks Scooby, Scooby will lure Blackbeard into a wheelbarrow. Shaggy will push the wheelbarrow down a downhill ramp. When the wheelbarrow hits the rock, Blackbeard will fly out of it and into a net.
Scooby won’t do it until he has a Scooby Snack. The trap goes as planned.
Blackbeard is really Mrs. Blaze. Mrs. Blaze wanted to scare everybody away from the treasure and take it. The sheriff comes and takes her away. The episode ends with Scooby finding the treasure.
“Rooby-Rooby-Roo!” he cheers.
